Sick and then a visit

~Hannah started us off with getting the stomach bug at a friends place while we were in the Boston area; then Mark and James got it. She also passed it onto Bethany while we were visiting the weekend prior. I have managed to make it through unscathed.
~Having my step-brother Dave here and showing him around the city a little bit.
~Watching the opening ceremonies and first events of the Vancouver Olympics-especially Canada's first gold on Canadian soil. I'm a huge Olympic junkie and working on instilling Olympic and patriotic enthusiasm in my two young kids.
~Going to church in Cornwall and actually being able to sit in church for most of the sermon while the kids happily played together in the nursery. We're looking forward to the day when that happens regularly. The sermon was a unique Valentine's service that paralleled our relationship with God and our marriage relationship. It was surprisingly short considering that it had 35 points.
~Playing the longest game of Yahtzee Free For All. I have never seen so many "busts". It's likely that we could not repeat that if we tried. A large straight turned out to be worth more than 30 points when it is usually worth 5 points. We couldn't even finish it because we were cutting into the kids naptime (and they were letting us know:)) and our leaving time.
~Going on playdates with new friends.
~Spending time with family on Valentine's Day-which is also Susie's birthday.
