Is it possible to have more fun?

~"I know this book, mommy!" says James as he reads Marvin K. Mooney aloud to himself. I LOVE this stage. I've been trying to get him to "read" to himself for a long time now.
~"Jesus loves the little children..." James is singing it to himself. Love it!
~Hannah loves saying the word "belly". She will gladly show you hers.
~James told our baby his/her first story. It was his favourite story about mommy seeing a guy dressed up like a hotdog on Halloween.
~Esther felt the baby move! It doesn't happen all of the time yet, but it is fun when he/she does a little flip inside.
~Hannah's language is growing everyday. Her word of the day is "ready". She is becoming a polite little girl, too. She says: thank you, excuse me and sorry appropriately. Now she just needs to sort out her yeses and nos.
~James saw a really neat craft at storytime (at the library), so we started to make something similar. We just finished it. I will upload a picture this weekend and maybe someone can remind me what it is called. He is thrilled with his "craft". I guess we need to start making more "things":)

~James really enjoys talking about bodily functions. We're trying to encourage him to be a gentleman. One day he announced that God makes poop.
~We enjoyed a wonderful visit at Mark's parents for a week. The kids had a blast with Grandpa and Grandma. Grandpa took James on the motor bike, and both kids on many tractor rides. Grandma and Hannah went shopping with mommy, and Hannah enjoyed showing off her new shoes in the store. James planted his thriving sunflowers in the garden with Grandpa. Both kids spent a lot of time in the bunny barn, looking at all of the bunnies, and petting the babies.
~James got to have his first sleepover at Auntie Mel and Uncle Mike's. They took him to a farm (*where Mel had a chicken poop on her pant leg* (this was a huge highlight for him!)), then to Dairy Queen where he got his first taste of chocolate chip icecream. When they got home they played with this car that James can't stop talking about (and asking for one), and playing "Hungry Hippos". When he woke up he didn't want breakfast, but was happy to finish off his icecream from the night before. On the way back to Grandma and Grandpa's, he had to drop his cousins off at school. He got to go into Tim's classroom with the big kids. Needless to say, he thought that staying at Auntie and Uncle's was so much fun?
~Hannah and Isabel were dedicated at Willow Creek Baptist Church on May 2, 2010. It was a special day for the Evans/Scott/Lantz families. We spent a wonderful afternoon with family and friends, enjoying the beautiful, unexpected sunshine.
~Bethany, Adam and Isabel joined us for a few days while we were in Barrie. It was nice to see them again. In addition to having the girls dedicated, the highlights were: going to Swiss Chalet for a yummy lunch, and planting a garden at my mom's grave (well, mostly Adam did). The kids enjoyed playing together. We look forward to getting together with them again next month.
